We are trying to round up sufficient volunteers to be able to run our Summer Splash Gala which takes place at the Aquatic Centre on 4th and 5th July 2015.
If you are willing to assist there will be experienced volunteers present, who will be able to help you.
Some of the parents who have helped out over previous years are leaving the club, as their children have grown up and are moving on to universities, etc. Therefore it is essential that the parents of younger children learn the ropes to help run future galas for the younger swimmers.
This gala is the perfect opportunity for parents of swimmers in AGD, Gold and Silver squads to start getting involved to ensure galas will go ahead in future.
We need people to:
- sell tickets at the door,
- staff the book and raffle stalls,
- help in the club shop,
- marshal the swimmers prior to each heat,
- supply water to the officials,
- award the medals,
- help with announcements,
- act as a runner i.e. posting results up on walls helping around poolside etc.

As an added incentive free tea/coffee/snack are available prior to start of gala and/or lunch available to each volunteer depending on the sessions attended. In addition you will gain free entry to those sessions that you help at.
