New Masters Group Coach appointed

City of Sunderland ASC is proud to unveil Constantin Cosmin Petcu as its new Masters Group Coach , who will be taking over the reins from the beginning of the new season in September 2018.

Building on the Club’s recent growth and success of the Masters section both Nationally and Internationally, Petcu will be able to hit the ground running in his new role, from the start of the new season.
Petcu has a wealth of experience, having previously represented Romania at the World University Games as an athlete and he brings coaching experience from Romania, France and the UK.  A highly successful coach with a consistent track record of producing highly skilled swimmers, he will look to continue the good work laid down from the COSASC coaching team whilst leading up the Masters programme at the Club.
Building on the recent growth and success of the Masters section Nationally and Internationally , Petcu will be able to hit the ground running in his new role, early in the new season.
Of his new role Petcu said:
am delighted to be offered the position of Masters Group Coach here at Sunderland.  I am looking forward to meeting the athletes and sharing the vision of Head Swimming Coach Danny Thompson as we implement the support required to ensure that our athletes can fulfil their potential over the coming season and beyond.
