Olympic Torch

The Olympic Torch has already left Cornwall and is making it’s way around the country. It is due to arrive at Sunderland on Saturday 16th June 2012, when the torch bearer parade it around the pool at the Sunderland Aquatic Centre. Spectator tickets are now available from Reception – read on.

Sunderland’s swimmers took to the water again at the weekend to compete in the 11th Middlesbrough Open Meet with tremendous success. The swimmers from the Performance and Development A squads not only won 64 medals over the three days of competition but gained qualifying times for national and regional events, claimed 4 meet records and numerous club records, won a skins event finished top in two age groups and broke a British Short Course Disability record.
