Key Committee Members Required

The following key positions have become available.

These will be key roles in what will become a new and transparent Committee Structure.

The deadline for nominations will be Friday 14th February 2014

Treasurer

This role is vital for the club to function.  The bare bones of the role have been looked after by the myself since the departure of the previous Treasurer as nobody else stepped up.  This responsibility now needs to be passed over to someone willing to take it on.
I will continue to oversee the accounts and will need to work closely with whomever offers support in this area to ensure the budget meets key business objectives.

If anyone is interested in this or simply would like to have a chat about it then either send in an email or catch me at the pool.

Secretary

The need for a Club Secretary has become more and more apparent over the last few months.  The Secretary not only attends meeting and records minutes, but is essentially responsible for the good communication between members and the committee, but also between the club and other organisations.

Once again, due to the number of key meetings that are currently taking place and decisions that will need to be made in the future, the Secretary will need to work closely with myself and the Committee to help ensure business targets are met.

If anyone is interested in this or simply would like to have a chat about it then either send in an email or catch me at the pool.

Fundraising manager

This person will not only form part of the general Committee, but will need to form a sub-committee to develop a fundraising strategy that will meet the needs of the club over the next year and beyond.  They will also be instrumental in leading Committee discussions that will lead to the development of an open and fair policy on how these funds are spent.

If anyone is interested in this or simply would like to have a chat about it then either send in an email or catch me at the pool.

Welfare Officer

This role is essential for the club in order to gain access to various ASA resources and meet certain requirements.
Not only does this person look after the club DBS registration, they are the point of contact with regard to any specific welfare issues a parent or swimmer may have.

This requires training before the role can be taken on fully due to the nature of some conversations or issues that may need to be dealt with.

If anyone is interested in this or simply would like to have a chat about it then either send in an email or catch me at the pool.
