Training to become a British Swimming Official

Northumberland and Durham County have organised some training sessions for any one who would like to train as a swimming official: Judge Level 1, including timekeeper.  Our club is very short of qualified officials and it would really help the club if you would consider undertaking the training more about swimming and you will benefit from learning new skills and understanding more about swimming.

We need 25 officials to host a long course meet at our pool and the club also needs to provide officials for county and regional competitions and for the Junior League and Arena League events.  Without sufficient officials a meet cannot take place.  Currently the club only has around 7 licensed officials and this is the same situation in many  clubs so you we cannot rely on other clubs to provide officials - as you can see we are very short!

A Training Course leading to qualification as British Swimming Official Judge Level 1

ASA North East is arranging training for new swimming officials.

Course: Judge Level 1, including club timekeeper.

Requirements: Minimum age for training 15yrs- final assessment minimum age 16yrs

Venue: The Louisa Centre, Stanley, County Durham, DH9 0TB.

Date and Time: Saturday 14th March, 1.00-3.00pm. Note that this course will be held on weekends for those who struggle to manage weekday evenings.
