Dear all Members,
Thank you to everyone who emailed me requesting pool provision at Hetton – I can confirm that we have a sufficient number of swimmers to enable us to proceed with this provision. I will be taking forward conversations with EA this following week around any specific guidance that athletes may need to be aware of when accessing this provision and will ensure if there is any additional guidance this will be communicated directly to those athletes in advance of swimming at Hetton.
Over the next few days those individuals who have requested pool provision will receive an email directly from myself outlining what provision / days has been allocated to them along with pre-payment instructions for those sessions. Just to reiterate as outlined in my previous email for those members who have requested pool time and previously did not pay the £25 monthly fee to access to the remote land training you will be required to pay £25 monthly fee on top of your fee per swim to access Hetton.
We have still have some provision available for weekday mornings only just in case anyone else wants to ask for some pool time at a cost of £7.50 per swim. There is no availability for Saturday mornings at all. If you would like to request some pool time please email me asap – the last weekday provision will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
I have confirmed with EA that the commencement date of the Hetton swimming will be Monday 21st September. Again please can everyone ensure they review Everyone Active’s website under the re-opening measure to familiarise themselves with the Covid-19 social distancing procedures in preparation for accessing Hetton Pool, you can view that information via this link: https://www.everyoneactive.com/reopeningmeasures/. Parents will be expected to leave swimmers at the main entrance of Hetton upon arrival, swimmers will depart the same exit and parents can meet them there.
Swim England’s Club Guidance can be viewed by clicking here ( Guidance for Clubs ) for any parents who want to read through for their information. Our Coaches will be running the morning sessions in line with all this guidance and EA guidance – for those parents who were querying the number of swimmers per lane please see the attached guidance on page 29 and diagrams on page 30 which shows that 6 swimmers per lane is permitted.
Finally just to remind everyone who has requested swimming provision at Hetton – you are agreeing to pay for these sessions for a period of 8 weeks or until our return to the Aquatics, this was outlined in the original communications. We cannot change any of these agreements as this provision has been calculated upon the number of swims which were submitted by Friday’s deadline last week. These numbers are crucial to make this financially possible for the club therefore if anyone withdraws or does not pay for the swims they requested this not only puts the whole provision at risk but the club and all the other swimmers who are accessing Hetton.
I look forward to seeing you all at Hetton or when we return to the Aquatics.
Kindest Regards
Linda
