At the weekend Barry Robinson, one of the clubs veteran swimmers, competed at Derwentwater in the Keswick Mountain Festival 1500 swim. Conditions were difficult and the water was cold and choppy. He was the oldest competitor at 74 years old and completed the swim in 55.33 minutes. He ranked 7th out of 9 in the 60+ category – the oldest category.
