Good Afternoon All,
I hope everyone is safe and well and are looking towards the recovery phase following this Covid-19 pandemic.
Following the Prime Ministers announcement yesterday I have been in contact with Everyone Active’s Manager regarding this latest Government announcement, they have informed me that they are now busy liaising with the local authority around their plans for reopening the centres. They are keeping their social media pages updated, so please feel free to keep checking these for further updates on the plans to reopen. In the meantime Everyone Active have asked that we all familiarise ourselves with the measures they have implemented across their centres to adhere to Government social distancing guidelines. Please note that until Everyone Active comes back to all partners around the next steps they are unable to inform us of any impact the new government guidance will have on all pool usage, this will impact the provision they make able to us as a club. Once we have information available around these details I will be able to give you all a further update then. Whilst I appreciate this is not ideal I hope you can all understand that we have to work through a number of issues first to ensure we get this right from the start to safeguard all our athletes.
On a positive note the roof repair work continues to proceed on time, the manager noted he was up on the roof yesterday and I have attached a few photos so you can see the work progressing. The whole roof has now been stripped of all old materials, they are working section by section on removing the bottom layer and replacing it with the new roof. They are currently working on the areas above the studios and will move onto the areas above the pool over the coming weeks. As you can see from some of the photos attached they are receiving deliveries of new roof sections all the time and have started to place the new steel work within the centre section (see photos below) to create the new roof apex.
We are working through the Swim England club guidance and will ensure once we are in position to understand the provision available to us we will be in touch with you all then. Thank you and stay safe.
