This year for the first time, we are going to run an Age Group Development and Junior Duel in the Pool on Friday 28th September (6-8pm, on poolside for 5:30pm).
For anyone who may not have came across a Duel in the Pool before, it is where 2 teams compete in a variety of events for points (similar to Arena League). It has been used yearly by multiple nations since 2003, so we thought we would bring it to our programme.
In each individual race their will be up to 8 swimmers(4 Maximum from each team) with the points being achieved as: 1st = 5, 2nd= 3 and 3rd = 1
In a relay swim the points will be 1st=7 points and 2nd=0 points.
Swimmers from all 3 squads, Junior Silver up to Age Group Development will be mixed by Ability/Gender/Age to make the teams as equal as possible.
This is a great opportunity to practice some race skills before going into any major competitions this year, as well as team build and most of all have some fun.
