After many extremely successful years of running the club’s book shop and raising a staggering total of more than £9000 for the club, Fiona Sharp has stepped down. However all is not lost as Vicky Birchall has kindly stepped up to take over Fiona’s role. She is happy to accept your unwanted novels and I’m sure will soon have books for sale at just a £1 each. If Vicky isn’t around please drop off your books at the club shop. I’m sure Vicky would welcome help with the role so please get in touch with her if you can give her a hand.
A huge thanks to Fiona for setting up the book sale scheme and for running it to such tremendous effect for seven years and also to Vicky who will ensure that Fiona’s hard work is not lost. So to all you book worms get buying and reading so that we can reach the magic £10,000 figure as quickly as possible and don’t forget to keep Vicky stocked up with books too.
